Interactive session for special educators

The vision which Mrs.Nellie Ahmed Tanweer had for the students having special need has taken the first step on 9th Jan 2018.
The students have been studying within the existing Educational System of Maria's Public School since its inception, where the school started with only a few such students. Mrs. Nellie Ahmed always wanted to provide these children with better infrastructure and facilities which are required for their overall development. The Marian Educational Structure always wanted to provide the students with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapists , Special Sports facilities and a wide exposure to participate in various platforms which enabled an overall development of the students. This was initiated with the help of parents, teachers and the students and the dream to build a strong educational framework for the students having special need gradually evolved into a reality.
Recently, Mrs. Nellie Ahmed invited Mrs. Sapna Sukul, Honorary Director of Sparsh Special School, Delhi to come over, empower and enrich the special educators from Maria Public School and Maria Montessori House of Children with her experiences. She engaged the audience with an interactive session. Dr.Sabina Ahmed, renowned paediatrician who has worked towards autistic children, spoke to the audience and sensitised the parents about their children. With her words of wisdom she shared her experiences in the field of 'special need'. The interactive session and workshop was organized at the Birkuchi campus of Maria's Public School, Guwahati, Assam.
