Miss India visits her alma mater

The reigning fbb Femina Miss India Priyadarshini Chatterjee, an alumni of Maria’s Public School paid her second visit to the school on August 8, 2016 after winning the coveted crown and spent a couple of hours with the students. Her main objective was to meet the differently-abled children studying in the Inclusive Education wing of the school. She said that she feels deeply towards these children and would work for their welfare through her project ‘Beauty with a Purpose.’ The students of the special unit performed Bihu dance and presented her with tokens of love. Overwhelmed by the performances of the students, Priyadarshini encouraged them to hone their talents to reach newer heights. She also met other children and interacted with them for about an hour. Mrs Nellie Ahmed Tanweer, the Founder and Managing Trustee of the school wished her good luck for the Miss World pageant slated to be held in December this year and said that Maria’s would always be by her side in all her good works. She was also wished the very best by the students, teaching faculty and non-teaching staff.
