Dr. Biswajit De designated as UN CC:Learn Accredited Teacher

Dr. Biswajit De, Creative Director and conservation educator of Maria’s Public School has successfully completed the extensive 1-year Course, curated by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), in the areas of ‘Global Climate Awareness, Conservation Education & Design’ recently. The Course was designed by the UN CC:Learn Education Portal of the UNITAR, primarily responsible for engaging multidisciplinary climate educators, from around the World. He is now designated as an ‘UN CC:Learn Accredited Teacher’.

Being an Ambassador for the British Council ‘Climate Connection Programme’ (represented India at the Climate Connection Youth Conference, Sri Lanka, in 2019), he was also invited by the Climate Connection & UNITAR jointly to join as a mentor for a recent partnership that was forged between the two organizations, and be a part of a ten-part educational series from the British Council Climate Connection Programme and UNITAR which explores the relationship between the climate crisis, language education, awareness, design and conservation strategies.
