Mrs Nellie Ahmed, the Founder and Managing Trustee, Maria’s Public School was conferred the prestigious Illumiere Excellence Award by Sunshine Professional Academy in association with Illumis Aesthetic Clinic, for her remarkable contribution towards the field of education in Assam and Northeast India on January 9, 2021 at the Taj Vivanta hotel, Guwahati amidst an august gathering. The award honours and appreciates women achievers of Assam and the Northeast in different categories like education, architecture/design, beauty, fashion-modern, fashion-traditional, social activity, business, medicine, culinary, film, performing arts, media, administration, sports and literary works – a total of fifteen disciplines.While receiving the award Mrs Ahmed congratulated the other awardees and urged the organisers also to acknowledge the works of some yet unsung workers in both urban and rural areas who have been silently working to bring in some change to the society as well as cutting a niche for themselves.
