Himanish wins silver at CBSE Roller Skating nationals
Himanish Choudhury of Class 6 won a silver medal in CBSE NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP from held January 9th to 11th Jan, 2023 at Shalom Hills International School, Gurugram, Hariyana in U-12 age category. He’s the son of Mr Amarjyoti Choudhury and Mrs Indrani Choudhury. He is the first male speed skater who won the medal in CBSE National Championship from Assam.
Nandita bags silver in international karate-do championship
Nandita Chaudhary of Class 11 bagged a silver medal in the 5th South Asian Invitational Karate-Do Championship, 2023 in the 16-17 Yrs Girls Kumte, 48 kg category. Held at DTRP Indoor Stadium, Ulubari, Guwahati, Assam, India the championship was organised by Mawate-Ka Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Association. Assam from 7th and 8th of January, 2023.
Riyan bags Double Crown at tennis meet
Riyan Kashyap from Class IX B has won “DOUBLE CROWN” at the AITA CS-7 Tournament held at KLTA Stadium, Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya from January 2 till January 6, 2023. He emerged as winner in both the Boys U-16 Singles and also the Boys U16 Doubles categories. He partnered with Twijilang Deb Burma from Tripura in the Doubles category. Earlier, Riyan participated in the 31st All Assam State Ranking Tennis Tournament held at Jorhat Tennis Club, Jorhat and has finished as ‘Champion’ in the Men’s Singles category and as ‘Runner-Up’ in Boys U-18 Singles category held from 25.12.22 to 30.12.2022. In the Men’s Doubles category he finished as a Semi-Finalist while facing his own Coaches as his opponents.
Shuvang Pran wins Champion’s title
Shuvang Pran Kashyap of Class 6 bagged the Champion Title in under 13 category in the International Fide Chess Tournament held in Udaipur, Rajasthan from December 23 to 25, 2022 representing Assam.
Saparja wins third prize in Jyoti Sangeet competition
Saparja Dhar of class 11 bagged the 3rd prize in All Assam Interschool Jyoti Sangeet competition held at Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti School on account of Silpi Divas on January 17, 2023.
