Aryan Jha (Class 9), Sanyukta Baruah and Jaina Hayat (Class 12 Arts) of Maria’s Public School, Guwahati accompanied by Mrs Zafreena Ahmed, Senior Faculty, Department of Economics took part in the World Youth Forum Future Economics Leadership Summit (WYF-FELS) 2025, an economic summit organised by World Youth Council for Economics Education (CEE) held in Hong Kong S.A.R., China from August 4 to August 8, 2025.

On 6th August, the team took a challenging qualifying test and then teamed up with a group from Beijing for their U20 presentation. The team had a critical thinking session on AI’s effect on wages. The final presentation on “How Human-Robot Synergy and Robot-Driven Revolution achieve Social Balance and Value Creation under Robotization” with the chinese team members was well appreciated by the judges.

WYF-FELS 2025 is one of the core projects of the World Youth Forum (WYF), initiated jointly by the WYF and CEE in the United States. It aims to bring together elite young talents in economic and business issues. The summit seeks to ignite their passions for exploring the economic world, using economic thinking to gain insights into the patterns of world development. By adopting a more macroscopic view, it strives to examine the challenges and global economic leaders who will lead the world’s development and build international trust and cooperation.
