Maria’s Public School marked a significant milestone on December 23, 2024, by hosting the inaugural edition of Sakura Fest, themed “Harmony for Humanity.” Inspired by the Round Square ideal of Service, this event aimed to raise funds for the welfare of underprivileged communities.
The event commenced with an address by the school’s Principal, Ms. Mausumi Mahanta, who appreciated the tireless efforts of the students in organising the fest and encouraged everyone to enjoy the festivities. Following her address, the Round Square Representative, Ms. Aparna Khanikar, expressed her gratitude to the Management for their unwavering support for this noble initiative.
Sakura Fest featured an array of engaging activities, including a music performance and a cosplay program. Numerous play stalls were organized by students from Classes 5 to 10. The entire event was managed and executed by the Round Square Student Council.
