Maria’s Public School dedicated the afternoon of November 18th — the birthday of the iconic Assamese artist Zubeen Garg, whose untimely demise continues to be deeply mourned— to honour his immense contributions not only to music, but to the broader cultural landscape of Assam and beyond. The day was observed as a celebration of creativity and the arts, echoing the spirit of the artist who inspired millions.

To appreciate the multifaceted legacy of Zubeen Garg and to express their own artistic interpretations, students enthusiastically participated in ‘Artistic Interpretation’ — painting, drawing and sketching their personal impressions of the artist.

Students also took part in ‘Poetry and Inspiration’, performing some of his most cherished songs and composing poetry inspired by his music, his lyrics and the enduring influence of the artist himself.
