The annual Staff Appreciation Day of Maria’s Public School was observed with warmth and gratitude on January 9, 2026. The occasion was dedicated to honouring the invaluable contributions of the sub-staff, whose dedication and hard work form the backbone of the institution.
Addressing the gathering, the Founder and Managing Trustee, Mrs. Nellie Ahmed, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the sub-staff and acknowledged them as an integral part of the Marian family. She emphasized that the smooth functioning of the school would be unimaginable without their constant support. Mrs. Ahmed also highlighted that such gestures play a vital role in instilling core humane values such as empathy, compassion, and gratitude in the young and impressionable minds of students.
Welcoming everyone to the programme, Principal Mrs. Mausumi Mahanta remarked, “Every year on the 9th of January, we pause our busy academic schedules to celebrate a group of people who are the very heartbeat of this institution. While classrooms resonate with lectures and corridors buzz with the energy of students, there exists a quieter yet equally vital symphony working tirelessly in the background. I am particularly honoured today to be joined by our Founder Managing Trustee Mrs Nellie Ahmed, whose vision for this school was never confined to academic excellence alone, but extended towards building a community rooted in mutual respect.”
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the dignity of labour and the collective spirit that sustains the MPS community.
