The School Cabinet organised ‘Youth Climate Round Table’, 2026 as a part of the celebration of World Environment Day, 2026 where 58 students joined. Creating a platform for the students to voice their thoughts and express ideas for Climate, Environment, Biodiversity Awareness and Conservation, student leaders Thanglenlal Doungel and Eenakshi Borthakur, students of Class 11, who are also the WNCF – IUCN CEC Youth Climate & Conservation Fellows, guided free flow discussions that respected the innovative ideas, shared by the participants.
Dr. Biswajit De introduced the global bridge between the Youth Climate Policies of United Nations Environment Programme and the Ecological Pathways & Priorities of the IUCN – International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Laying down the foundational stepping stones for the upcoming event – SDG & ESG Conclave, Marians have also started to cascade their research and learning outcomes to enhance the understanding of Environmental Stewardship for Round Square and embrace the regional and cultural significance of Conservation Education for AFS.
The students were mentored by Dr. Biswajit De, Creative Director & Teacher of Design, MPS who is an active member of the International Steering Committee of IUCN CEC & #NatureForAll.
