For five days in a row, from June 24 to 28 the primary hall, the classrooms, the library and the playground were transformed into a vibrant hub of learning beyond the classrooms which offered the students of classes 1 to 3 and their mothers a wonderful platform to learn, create and celebrate together. The Summer Carnival 2026 was undoubtedly a ground to celebrate learning.
The Carnival featured a wide array of engaging activities including musical yoga, Zumba, painting, Akonir Mel, storytelling, dance, play dough modelling, origami, music and an exciting visit to Science City, Sonapur.
A special highlight was the ‘Moms’ Programme,’ where mothers enthusiastically participated in fashion designing, flameless cooking, showcasing handmade products, collaborative games, Antakshari and a talent show alongside the teachers. Their active involvement added warmth and excitement to the celebrations.
As a part of the Carnival, a two-day Sustainable Fashion Design Workshop was conducted by the Students of Design (Classes 11 & 12), under the mentorship of Dr. Biswajit De, the Creative Director and Teacher of Design. The mothers designed the dresses out of biodegradable materials and walked the Ramp showcasing the wonderful dresses that they designed on the final day.
The Carnival concluded with a colourful cultural evening with performances by professional artists like Tarun Tanmoy, Ruppankita Papori, Dippanwita Deka, Gitashree Kalita who enthralled the gathering just before the refreshments were served.
Promoting creativity, teamwork, confidence and experiential learning, Summer Carnival 2026 concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind cherished memories for students, parents and teachers alike.
