School Cabinet – 2018-19
New School cabinet sworn in
The Investiture Ceremony of Maria’s Public School was held in a solemn manner on April 28, 2018. Compered by Mrs Ellie Dutta, a senior teacher, the programme began with a special prayer conducted by Principal Mrs Alpana Khound Phukan. Following the prayer the House Captains of the previous year handed over the house flags to the new captains. The school flag was handed over to the new Head Boy and Head Girl Sparsh Chetri Rajneesh and Anna Barua respectively by the outgoing prefects of the school Padmanav Barua and Manpreet Kaur. This was followed by introduction and inspiring speeches of the special guests for the occasion Prantor Tamuli, Rimjhim Rajkhowa and Arinjoy Shandilya, three well placed alumni of the school. The new cabinet members were sworn in by Mrs Shahnaaz Rahman, a senior teacher of the school. The badges were pinned on the new captains by the Principal, Vice Principal and the special guests.
