Marians at 20th East India Debates

The Marian debate team of Devam Bhattacharjee, Thanglenlal Doungel, Indranushi Sharma and Abhijit Jonak Sarmah accompanied by Bhanita Talukdar from the Department of Political Science was one of the eight schools to have qualified for the Quarter Finals at the 20th East India Debates organised by Assam Valley School, Balipara, Tezpur. Although they lost to the home team, but the MPS students were able to make their mark in the prestigious debating arena. While Devam was awarded the Best Speaker in two rounds of the four, Thanglen was adjudged the Most Promising Speaker in two rounds of the four. Indranushi received the Most Promising Speaker title in the Quarter finals.

Priyadarshini wins Silver at CBSE Cluster 1

Priyadarshini of Class VII won the Silver Medal in the CBSE Cluster-1 Atheletic tournament in the Under-17 Long Jump category and qualified for CBSE National competition.

She also represented Assam in the BCAI National Armwrestling Championship (Under‑15, U‑55 kg category) held at Bengaluru, June 14–16, 2026. She qualified through the State Armwrestling Competition at Guwahati, in February 2026, where she secured Silver (Right Hand) and Bronze (Left Hand) medals.

Priyadarshini was also a part of Sonitpur District Cricket Team in the Under‑15 Girls Inter‑District Cricket Tournament at Barpeta, where they played against Goalpara, Kokrajhar and Darrag District.

2 Gold to Kritika

Kritika Nath of Class 3 won two Gold medals in the Kamrup District Kung-fu Championship 2026, in Kata Long Weapon and 30kg Fight Category.

Riddhiman wins 1st prize

Riddhiman Bhuyan of Class 3 won the 1st Prize in SF International Open Rapid Rating Chess Tournament in the under 9 category, held at Sarusajai Stadium.

Daieba in Aswamedh

Watch our budding actress Daieba Rahman Choudhury of Class 4 debuting in Assamese series ‘Aswamedh’, which started airing on the Rang Channel on July 20. It broadcasts from Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM.

Jiyanandini wins 1st prize

Janamdin Kashyap of Class 6 won the First Prize in the National level Singing Competition held in Delhi, organized by Indian Super Star, Delhi 2026, Season 2. She has also won the Talented Singer Award.

Ridhan clears Grade Debut in piano

Ridhan Singh, Class VII (Inclusive) has passed the GRADE DEBUT certification examination of piano(western) on MERIT with 87% percentile. This year he has also appeared in 2nd stage band program held at the Maroon Room, Guwahati.

Urshita receives certificate and cash prize

Urshita Tamuly of Class IV was awarded a certificate of participation and cash prize for her participation in the Sofura State Level Talent Discovery Examination 2025-26.

Syed Ivan wins a silver

Syed Ivan Rasul Ahmed of Class 2, won a silver medal in U- 9 Badminton Tournament, Boys Category, held at Khanapara.
