Marian badminton team becomes Champion in CBSE Cluster One Tournament

The Badminton team of Maria’s Public School lifted the Champion’s trophy in the CBSE Cluster One Tournament Under 19 Category held in DPS, Dibrugarh. The team comprised Vernan Mahanta (12 Commerce), Gaurav Gogoi (11 Commerce), Y Pegu (Class 10) and Nidish Buragohain (Class 9).

Biswaraj wins Gold

Biswaraj Gupta of Class 5 A won the gold medal in the 5th Guwahati District Karate Championship held on August 9 and 10, 2025 at DTRP Stadium, Guwahati. He was also felicitated by Assam Karate Association, Guwahati for winning a silver medal in Assam State Karate Championship held on October 22 to 26, 2024 at KASA Stadium, Diphu.

Shreyasi recognised as a radio artiste

Shreyasi Deep Bhattacharya of Class 9E has been selected for Akashvani Guwahati’s “Chemoniyar Chora” in the category of Assamese Modern Song. With this achievement, she will now be recognised as a radio artiste for the programme in AIR Akashvani Guwahati.

Nibir secures 5th position in rapid chess tournament

Nibir S. Sharma of Class 8A participated in a one-day rapid Chess tournament organized by the Shatranj Foundation at Envo Food, Sonapur, Assam, on 17th August 2025, and secured the 5th position in the event.
