MARIA'S PUBLIC SCHOOL won the Best School Prize with the highest points by the top 4 players.

The All India Open FIDE Rating School Chess Tournament 2023 was organised at Sarusajai Stadium from 14 to 18 November. Schools from all over India had participated in the event.

4 players from Maria’s Public school were able to clinch prizes in the tournament.

Ameyaa Gupta (of class 4) won 2nd Prize in Under 9 Girls with trophy and cash prize 5000 rs.

Shuvang Pran Kashyap (class 7) secured 30th rank with trophy and cash prize of rs 3000

Nihad Islam Hazarika (class 11) secured 6th rank with trophy and cash prize of rs 12,000

Tanmay Rajbongshi (class 7) secured 3rd rank with Trophy and cash prize of rs 30,000
