Students win prizes in Taekwondo meet

The following players won various medals in the 2nd Kamrup Metro District Taekwondo Championship, held on 27th and 28th May, 2017 at DTRP Indoor Stadium, R G Baruah Sports Complex, Guwahati.

Marian Taekwondo players bring laurels

Samadrita M Chakravarty of Class VB won the bronze medal in the CBSE Taekwondo National Championships at Varanasi held from 16th to 20th December, 2016. She participated in the Under 14 years category.

Samadrita has also won the Gold medal in the International Taekwondo Championships held at Kolkata on 28th and 29th December, 2016. She played in the under 30 to 37kg category.

Varistha Kashyap of Class VIC participated in the International Taekwondo Championships and bagged the Gold medal in the under 41kg category.

MPS team to CBSE Taekwondo Nationals

Himangshu Barua of Class X and Samadrita Mandal Chakravarty of Class V have qualified to take part in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championships to be held at Varanasi from December 16 to 20, 2016. Himangshu won a silver medal in the under 50kg and Samarita won a gold medal in the under 30kg categories in the CBSE East Zone Taekwondo Championships held at Rourkela, Odissa from October 3 to 6, 2016. The Founder and Managing Trustee Mrs Nellie Ahmed Tanweer, Principal Mrs Alpana Khound Phukan and the entire Marian fraternity wish them best of luck for the national event.
